Privacy Policy

Last updated July 15, 2026

This policy covers the NÉTESSAIRE service as a whole, the website and the mobile app, since they share the same account and the same underlying data. It explains what we collect, why, who else ever touches it, and what control you have over it. It applies to visitors and account holders of NÉTESSAIRE, operated by [legal name / company name] (“NÉTESSAIRE,” “we,” “us”).

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (which we never see or store in plain text; see “How we store it” below).

As you use the product, we store what you tell us or add:

  • Skin profile: skin type, concerns you select, and your declared shopping budget.
  • Your city, never precise location or GPS coordinates. We ask for a city name to tune UV, pollution, and humidity guidance, nothing more granular.
  • Your shelf, AM/PM routine, wishlist, pinned favorites, streak, and check-in history.
  • Optional profile details you choose to add: display name, a short bio, and an avatar.

We do not collect precise location, browsing history on other sites, or contacts. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers: there is no ad pixel or behavioral tracker anywhere in NÉTESSAIRE.

How we store it

Account and profile data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Passwords are salted and hashed before storage, so we cannot read your password, and no one at NÉTESSAIRE ever sees it in plain text. Signing in sets a functional session cookie so you stay logged in; we don’t use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Who else sees it

A short, complete list of every third party involved, and exactly what they get:

  • Supabase: hosts your account and profile data, and sends account-verification emails on our behalf.
  • Open-Meteo: receives only the city name you’ve set, to return weather, UV, and pollution data. No account or device identifier is sent.
  • Open Beauty Facts: a public product database we read from to populate the catalog. We never send them any of your data.
  • Google Gemini: only if you use the mobile app’s camera-based product scanner. The photo you take is sent to Gemini to identify the product, and is not stored by us afterward.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.

Your rights and controls

From the You section of the app or website, at any time and without contacting us, you can:

  • Export your data as a file.
  • Delete your account and everything associated with it, permanently. This cannot be undone.

If you’re in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have rights under GDPR to access, correct, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at [privacy contact email]. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (at signup) and our need to perform the service you’ve asked for (a routine and score built from your data).

Children

NÉTESSAIRE requires users to confirm they are 14 or older at signup. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of NÉTESSAIRE after a change means you accept the update.
